Wisprs ("we") provides AI transcription software for audio and video. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our website and Service (wisprs.co).

We collect: (a) Account information you provide when signing up (e.g. email, name), managed by Clerk; (b) Usage data such as transcription minutes, feature usage, and billing-related data, including via Polar for subscriptions; (c) Content you upload (audio, video) and the resulting transcripts and AI-derived outputs (summaries, chapters, action items, etc.), which we process to provide the Service and store in accordance with our systems and retention practices.

We use your information to provide, operate, and improve the Service; to process transactions and send transactional emails (e.g. via Resend for notifications); to enforce our terms and protect security; and to comply with law. We do not sell your personal data or your content. We do not use your content to train AI models.

We use trusted third-party providers: Clerk (authentication and user management), Polar (billing and subscriptions), Resend (email delivery), and ElevenLabs (speech-to-text and text-to-speech). We may also use storage and infrastructure providers. These providers process data on our instructions to run the Service. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and safety.

We retain your data as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. Retention may vary by plan and product area. You can delete your content and account; we will process deletions in line with our data retention policy. Some data may remain in backups for a limited period before being overwritten.

We use encryption in transit and at rest and follow industry practices to protect your data. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can use the dashboard to access, export, and delete your content. For account or other personal data requests, contact us at support@wisprs.com. If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, you may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication (e.g. Clerk session), security, and to improve the Service. For details, see our Cookie Policy.

The Service is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children; if you believe we have done so, please contact us.
